UPDATE: The video is available for viewing and downloading at the Word Records website.
The U.S. Army has teamed with contemporary Christian music’s Mark Schultz in a soldier safety campaign. Schultz’s song “Letters from War” is the inspiration for this effort. The campaign’s theme is “Be Safe–Make it Home.”
It’s great to see an arm of the federal government working with Christians in a time when Christians are mostly being persecuted. The safety website even provides an online stream of Schultz’s music video and a link to his website.
If you haven’t heard the song, it’s certainly one to hear and ponder.
May Christ have mercy on the souls of our troops and give them strength to perform their duties.

I’m a 22 year old student studying here at New Zealand,
Origionally a PNGian. I was looking at some of the documentary
about the WWII in the pacific and felt how sad it was. At the
same time read those touching letters from their dads in action.
some might have made it home, some are buried in my country, PNG.
Also being a Christian I used to listen to the Countdown magazine
gosple songs when I heard this amazing song. I pray that God
comfort the hearts of the brethen and sisters in the field, giving
them boldness and courage, not illing to kill but to obey the sate.
I really love this awesome song. I just recorded it lately and I want to buy
a full tape.
god bless u all.

Marks song really inspired me to possibly join the army. i will it is a great song. oohhh yea. thank you all the troops.
This is an amazing song. It touches my heart. It is full of love. I feel I would cry. Through this song, I realized that love is still in places where we thought there is none. I am blessed to know that there are Christians in the army, a place where we thought love is somewhat forsaken. I am proud of them because despite of the odds, they stand the virtues of a Christian. Keep being blessing to your colleagues! God bless you all!
Renee, thanks for your encouragement. The military lifestyle is one that often competes against Christian virtue. However, the Lord is always faithful to strengthen those who trust in him.
