Navy sued over manipulation of ‘gay’ data

Navy sued over manipulation of ‘gay’ datahttp://www.wnd.com/2012/02/navy-sued-over-manipulation-of-gay-data/A federal Freedom of Information Act lawsuit has been filed against the U.S. Navy over the manipulation of “gay” data used to convince Congress to overturn the centuries-old ban in the U.S. military on open homosexuality.

The manipulation of the data was confirmed by the government itself, which in an inspector general’s report marked “For Official Use Only” said numbers were combined to present the image that members of the military approved of Barack Obama’s plan for open homosexuality.

It was the military’s original and now-suspect report that famously was quoted as affirming “70 percent” of the nation’s military members believe the repeal of the long-standing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” practice of allowing homosexuals to serve as long as they kept their sexual lifestyle choices to themselves would have either “a neutral or positive impact on unit cohesion, readiness, effectiveness and morale.”

Freedom From Religion - Opinion - PatriotPost.US

Freedom From Religion – Opinion – PatriotPost.UShttp://patriotpost.us/opinion/oliver-north/2012/02/10/freedom-from-religion/WASHINGTON — “We don’t need you, so shut up!” That’s the message the Obama administration has sent loud and clear to America’s Roman Catholics. And it’s a message now being sent to U.S. military chaplains — to the detriment of our armed forces.

During World War II, the War Department and the Department of the Navy urged — the operative word is “urged,” not “ordered,” mind you — U.S. military chaplains to encourage soldiers, sailors, airmen, guardsmen and Marines that God was on our side in the global battle against fascists, Nazis and the godless heathens running rampant across Asia and the Pacific. The hymns “Onward, Christian Soldiers” and “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” were sung with fervor at chapel services regardless of denomination.

A House-Senate conference committee has dropped Senate-approved language that would have removed sodomy and bestiality – sex with animals — from military law in the final version of the National Defense Authorization Act.

A spokesman for the House Armed Services Committee told CNSNews.com Wednesday that the Obama administration had “made its pitch” on repealing Article 125 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice related to sodomy – but the members of the conference committee “were not persuaded” that the change was needed.

The conference was titled “Chaplaincy: Ministering in Caesar’s House.”

“There is a growing negative atmosphere toward evangelical Christianity,” said Lloyd Harsch, church history professor and institute director. “Under the guise of tolerance, everyone who holds a religiously informed position is now viewed as suspect because they’re [considered] intolerant.”
